Janzen, Johnston & Rockwell Emergency Medicine Management Services, Inc. (“JJ&R”), is a physician group specializing in the staffing and management of hospital emergency departments, occupational medicine centers, hospitalist programs, and primary care centers.  Established in Los Angeles in 1974, JJ&R and its physicians have become a cohesive and well-respected group.  We are proud of our contributions to the practice of emergency medicine, and of the reputation we’ve earned as a group committed to quality care and business excellence.

Our goal has been to evolve a form of practice combining the best features of academic medicine and private practice.  JJ&R staff engages in a combination of patient care and teaching similar to that of academic medicine.  However, unlike academia, JJ&R places primary emphasis on patient care.

While many other emergency medical groups have focused on the size of their contract base, JJ&R does not.  We are focused on and dedicated to developing and operating winning departments.  JJ&R aids its client hospitals in marketing, paramedic systems, and developing new programs to improve the hospital’s profitability.
