Financial planning in today’s unpredictable economy is extraordinarily difficult. To assist in the process, JJ&R has developed a library of financial planning and management tools. These tools consist of a set of computer-based models of each of the group’s facilities, and of the group’s various cost centers. We frequently share our reports and analyses with hospital administrators and often generate special reports to meet the specific needs of individual hospitals.

JJ&R achieves the capability to function effectively as the hospital’s “business partner” because of its sophisticated billing department and business office. Unique among emergency medical groups, JJ&R performs independent billing for its physicians’ charges at all of its contract hospitals. Since we rely solely on the performance of our billing function, we have devoted significant resources to the development of our billing and management information systems.

At JJ&R we have become experts in the billing and collection of “high volume, low dollar” accounts typical of today’s outpatient services. Our efforts in this arena have been so rewarding that we have been approached by a number of our hospital clients, and other emergency medical groups, requesting that we provide their billing and collection functions.
