Opportunity: Staff position available for emergency physicians at this 237-bed facility located just minutes from downtown San Diego, Coronado and Mission Bay. Annual volume is approximately 36,000 with an excellent patient mix with moderate acuity. Emergency physicians enjoy excellent support from Administration, Nursing, and ancillary services. Attending staff responds quickly to assume care of patients requiring admission. Backup includes neurosurgery, orthopedics and plastic surgery.
Community: National City is a culturally diverse community of approximately 60,000 located just 10 miles north of the Baja California, Mexico, International Border. The community is situated virtually minutes away from all of San Diego’s attractions including the NFL San Diego Chargers; MBL’s San Diego Padres; Sea World; the San Diego Zoo; Coronado and Balboa Park. The city also provides easy access to the University of California San Diego; the Salk Institute for Biomedical Research; and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
